The Role:
Menzies School of Health Research has two positions available to join our team as a First Nations Biosecurity Intern. The role will involve learning about different biosecurity jobs and studying towards a biosecurity career.
You will work closely with NT government biosecurity teams and Menzies researchers to provide support and learn a range of biosecurity techniques.
The successful candidates will use their new skills by travelling throughout the Northern Territory in response to biosecurity threats and research. This would entail travelling with a NTG biosecurity team to sites across the NT including remote areas.

We are seeking motivated candidates who are excited to learn about biosecurity and committed to studying a certificate or degree course to start their career in biosecurity.

The Benefits:
- Base Salary $58,701 - $60,958 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $74,415 - $77,405 per annum).
- Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
- Indigenous Knowledge Allowance additional.
